Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from the department of Surgical
Gastroenterology, JIPMER Puducherry. It gives us immense
pleasure to welcome you to the 21st AMASI skill course and
CME
on advances in laparoscopic surgery. The skilled course is
part of the academic and accreditational activities of the
Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and
culminates in the FMAS examination.
During the course of three days, we will try to provide
comprehensive knowledge from basic to advanced laparoscopic
surgery. The course targets postgraduate students of surgery
and Surgical Gastroenterology as well as practising surgeons. A written, practical & viva voce examination will be conducted on the last day of the skill course. Successful candidates will be awarded Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS).
The aim of this skill course is to attempt standardization of Laparoscopic Techniques and to update our knowledge in keeping with current trends. During the course of three days we will try to provide comprehensive knowledge from basic to advanced laparoscopic surgery. Taking into consideration the feedback from previous skill courses, a conscious decision has been made to devote more time and discussion for commonly performed procedures.
