13th Skill course - Lucknow |
Dear Colleague,
Seasons greeting and wishing you a very pleasant New Year2010!
We are proud to announce that AMASI is holding its next Fellowship and Skill course at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow,India. So far, AMASI has successfully conducted 12 Skill courses nationwide. It was encouraging to note that surgeons of all age groups attended these courses. They found that it was very useful for their practice.
Laparoscopic surgery has become the standard for general surgery, and thus certification is required to ensure that the minimum standards are met. Certification may help in medico-legal cases also.
The skill courses conducted by AMASI provide the basic kowledge required by any surgeon stepping into the laparoscopic field. As evident from the programme, the course attempts to provide comprehensive knowledge, from OT setup to advanced laparoscopic surgery. It fills a gap felt by most surgeons who stepped out of Medical College without any training in laparoscopic surgery. AMASI has attempted to shorten the learning curve, and even experienced lap surgeons will find it useful for conducting advanced lap surgery. The course is supported by the MCI. We take this opportunity in inviting you and your colleagues to participate in this programme.
