AMASI was formed
in 2003 by a group of enthusiastic surgeons, under the
leadership of the founder president, Professor C. Palanivelu,
who envisaged a dream to propagate the cutting edge
technology of minimal access surgery all over the country.
Even the poorest should be able to avail this facility in all the corners of the country. To make MAS affordable, available and applicable to all. Thus, a collegial group was formed within the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) where all surgeons are invited to share and grow in the field of Minimal Access Surgery.
